Live a Normal Life with Milk Allergy
Milk allergy is one kind of food allergy. It is an adverse immune system reaction as a result of lactose intolerance. Lactose intolerance is caused by the deficiency of enzyme lactose which is required to digest milk sugar (lactose).
According to the research, about 70% of the world’s population is found to be affected by milk allergy. Babies, toddlers and children are the group of people most commonly affected by milk allergy symptoms.
We all know that milk is good for everyone as it helps to make our teeth, bones and muscle stronger due to the milk calcium, phosphorous, magnesium and zinc found in milk. Although it is suggested that you include milk in your daily diet for the benefits it can bring into your life. However, you may want to make necessary adjustments to your diet if you have milk allergy as any form of allergy can be life threatening, so does milk allergy.
How to live with milk allergy if you happen to have hypersensitive reaction to milk?
When you have milk allergy, you need to avoid those foods which contain any type or form of milk products. The best way is to go through a list of foods to avoid with your doctor in order to reduce the chance of having milk allergic reaction as soon as possible. Your doctor will have a more complete list of foods to avoid which are gathered from comprehensive sources collected around the world. You would be surprised and amazed at how many food products out there that contain milk in their ingredients.
Some examples of foods that do contain certain milk ingredients and minerals are cheese, macaroni, mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs. You may also want to avoid dishes which are prepared using milk or milk derivative products as much as you can as you don’t want to take any risk or chance of having another milk allergy.
Milk allergy can go away will you growth or it will stay with you for life, so you need to learn to live with milk allergy and adapt your living style with it.
